TRAAMS - Debut Out September 24 (FatCat)
I think you’ll like this garage-fi, swoop-driven little track “Flowers” from West Sussex act TRAAMS. It was the second thing I listened to this morning (after “Enter Sandman”, which I’m trying to learn on the guitar), and I was instantly impressed. Frontman Stu Hopkins likes to refer to their sound as “skewed pop”, which I can sort of buy, though I’m still loathe to describe anything as “pop”. Though I suppose I listen to a lot of “indie pop”. Doesn’t mean I like the term, though.

The band’s debut full-length “Grin” is out September 24 on FatCat. The album was recorded throughout 2012 and 2013 with producers Rory Atwell and MJ from Hookworms.
