April 30, 2013

It’s turning out to be quite the year for one of our favorite bands from Saskatchewan, Slow Down Molasses. First they were part of Junofest a couple of weekends ago in downtown Regina; and this morning they were included in the Sled Island announcement as one of the performers for this year’s Calgary festival. They [...]

WIN Two Tickets (+CD) To Ivan & Alyosha In Edmonton (May 3 at Pawn Shop)

April 26, 2013

Definitely one of the concerts I’ve been most looking forward to this spring is Seattle’s Ivan and Alyosha on May 3rd at the Pawn Shop. Their 2013 debut album “All the Times We Had” is definitely on high rotation on my iPhone, and will undoubtedly receive careful consideration for any “best of” lists I put [...]

Cowboy Indian Bear – “Let It Down” / “Live Old Die Young” LP Now Available

April 25, 2013

April 25, 2013

I’ve been meaning to talk about Jay Nash for a while now. For one, he’s going to be the opening act for Ivan & Alyosha on their swing through Edmonton, and in fact for I&A’s entire western swing to close out their tour (Jay’s got a bunch more dates after that as well, see below). [...]
