No Joy – “Lunar Phobia” Video / Tour Dates / LP Drops April 23
by New Music Michael on March 11 2013
I first mentioned Montreal’s No Joy back in the fall of 2010, not long after I started blogging I suppose, referring to their sound as “led by fuzzy guitar, tons of reverb, and even more attitude”.
I managed to see them the next spring at South By Southwest at the My Old Kentucky Blog showcase, as “their set assaulted the senses (in a good way). From start to finish, these noise-pop professionals orchestrated a musical journey that featured reverb fuzz that was probably heard up in orbit … at the top of their game on the day”.
And now they’re back. Not that they really went anywhere, but their new album “Wait To Pleasure” is set to drop on April 23, from which we have a new track, a new video, “Lunar Phobia”, which you can stream above. There’s a tour too of course, with a number of the gigs also featuring another extraordinary Cancon band – METZ.
Can’t wait for this album!

Unsurprising to almost every reader, I had to quit my classic rock cover band, just couldn't get into the material. So I'm looking for a project again, preferably in the indie-psych-shoegaze realms. (more info)
