Formed in Montreal by sitarist/bassist Rishi Dhir, Elephant Stone is a combination of so many sounds and influences that it defies classification. And I don’t say that easily. In fact, I hate bands that tell me that. But in this case it’s quite true. From melodic pop tracks, to dancetronica, to “Hindustani raga spiritualizers”, to psychedelia, I think you’ll find the one thing that connects all their music is that it just grabs you by the heart and gives a damned good tug.
