It’s travel day here at NMM, as I’m stuck in meetings all day at work, then racing down to Calgary before the evening Sled Island shows begin. Well, with any luck anyways.
In the meantime, enjoy a stream of tracks from Castle River (nee Father Figures), a lofi indie-folk act out of Saskatoon, which is certainly well represented at Sled Island this year. They’ve described themselves as “Simon and Garfunkel being mugged by Death From Above 1979″, and are playing Tubby Dog on Friday (June 22) at 5:10pm.
Don’t forget to say hello if you see me around Calgary this week (or hell, in Boise for the Wilco show next Tuesday).
