Well, it’s Cancon Wednesday. Yep, I just made that up. Let’s start it off with a staple of Canadian indie pop, Halifax’s Rich Aucoin – who just announced a mini-tour yesterday (mostly AB and BC dates). I saw Mssr. Aucoin last year at South by Southwest, and was tremendously impressed. Mr. Ambitious (my nickname, he’s probably never heard it) has toured almost relentlessly in the last few years, and during a couple of them recorded a multitude of tracks with OVER FIVE HUNDRED guest musicians for his most recent release, 2011′s “We’re All Dying To Live”. The release party alone had eighty musicians. I’m not exactly sure how that will play out on stage, but it’s one of two tours I’m blogging about today that you should really get out and see for yourself.
