I was just doing my usual surfing around the internet the other night and came across this band called Nice Purse from Minneapolis. Their newest album “Slumber Girls” is available on bandcamp, which is where I was listening to it. The first couple tracks I found intriguing, but not blow your mind. But the third track – “Put It On Me” – that’s the one that caught my attention (you can stream it below for yourself). They’re sort of like a lo-fi/garage/alt-rock band with some really nice vocal melodies.
Yeh, okay, it doesn’t hurt that their CD release party for the album was January 12th, and DOM was headlining at a club I’m pretty familiar with in terms of live music listings – 7th Street Entry.
Couldn’t find much of a bio, other than the names of the band members -France Camp, Ian Nygaard, James Wolfeatens, Elise kaPow, and Jeff Lorentzen – but anyways, take a listen and see what you think.
PS – “Radical Roses” is another extraordinary track.
