Press releases often inflate the truth just a little bit, you know what I mean? But in this case when the label introduced Frankie Rose‘s new single “Know Me” (stream it below) by saying
we were all knocked out by the Frankie Rose and the Outs album from 2010, the effortlessness of its gorgeous girl-pop mantras … the beauty of a song sung sweetly over the most graceful two-chord vamps …
well, they were bang on the money. So I’m all atwitter and agog that we get brand new Frankie Rose this month. She’s now Outless (the last album was released as Frankie Rose and the Outs), but if this track is any indication, she’s still got more musical and songwriting talent than just about anyone else I’m following.
