If I was prone to it, I would start this post with the phrase “SQUEEEEE NEW GARDENING NOT ARCHITECTURE!!!!!!!”. Well, I guess I just did.
GNA (the stage name for Sarah Saturday) is one of those acts I’ve talked about repeatedly since I started this little music blog, and is back with a vengeance with the new release “Saboteur” (released to the world today). Sarah and I exchanged a couple emails yesterday, in which I called the disc “a little more somber than the first one, but still beautifully eclectic and electronic, and totally you”. The ten track album (those purchasing the album on Bandcamp will get a bonus cover track, The Weakerthans’ “Left And Leaving”) will cascade across your eardrums, leaving no emotion unturned.
She gave me the option of which track I wanted to stream for everyone, suggesting that maybe one of the first two would work best. I tend to agree, they’re both very Sarah-esque (though “Darling” is another favorite of mine); I chose “Airports”, which you can stream below – and then click here to get more details on how you too can own this amazing album. Now, if we can just convince her to come back to Edmonton sometime soon! In the meantime, her current itinerary to support the album follows.
