I admit it, I’m a sucker for a cute story. So when I got an email from Los Angeles brother and sister duo Blondfire (comprised of Bruce and Erica Driscoll), and I clicked and instantly started liking the track they featured (for which you can watch the video above), I did some research on ‘em. Turns out they originally started playing in 2005 under the name Astaire. But then Fred Astaire’s wife Robyn threatened to sue the band unless they changed the name – so poof! Blondfire was born.
Like I said, check out the video (directed by Aurelien Levitan); the track is available as a single as of Tuesday morning, and will appear on the forthcoming album “Win the Game”. They’ve also got a full album titled “My Someday” (released in 2008) available.
